ARIZONA

A 25 ACRE RANCH in Sonoita needs a full-time live-in caretaker to
turn on the irrigation and keep the beautiful home/pool cared for
as the weather changes. The owners come and go - usually two
weeks per month. Animals: four barn cats and one outside ranch
dog need daily feeding. Please call XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

EXPERIENCED HORSE CARETAKER with RV wanted. An Arizona ranch is
seeking a single or couple experienced in horse caretaking. The
work includes heavy lifting, feeding special diets, picking up
manure, cleaning and filling water tanks, checking animals for
health issues and knowing what to do if a problem arises. Also
involves being able to safely operate a tractor and drive a
vehicle. This is a manual labor job, typically two hours AM and
PM, some days there will be other work. If you can do maintenance
and repairs that would be great also. Please only respond if you
actually have the experience and capabilities we are seeking, you
have your own self-contained RV to live in. We are at elevation
so it is cooler here compared to Phoenix, but winters are mostly
mild. This is not a "can learn" job, we seek experience. The
owner will have to work to pay a caretaker, and it becomes
apparent very quickly if whomever is hired cannot do the work. In
order to be paid, you will need to do the work, be able to
maintain a schedule, be observant and physically capable. We have
no housing to offer, but can offer full hook-ups and shared
internet. We are seeking a salaried person, prefer long-term. No
riding involved. For more information, please call
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Hi Gary, you have a couple of New Mexico help-wanted ads listed
on Twitter. Looked good. However, I do not use Twitter, and am
not able to get into Twitter, so is there any way that I could
find out about these positions without logging in to Twitter?
Please let me know. Thanks. Sandy G., Albuquerque NM

Hi Sandy, thanks for writing. All of our tweets that we post
on Twitter are posted after we email subscribers with our email
updates - so everything you see on our Twitter page has already
been emailed to you. And our Twitter postings never contain the
entire wording for the Help-Wanted advertiser or their contact
information.

Gary, can you please let me know why you have stopped sending
email updates to me. I used to get them every week – usually
from one to four different email updates from the Gazette. Now I
don’t get any of your updates in my yahoo.com Inbox. Carol J.,
Miami, FL

Hi Carol, this email message is being sent to you from a
different Server than the Server we use to send you our email
broadcasts. We have emailed updates to your yahoo.com email
address every week since you subscribed. Have you checked your
Spam Folder for them? You can log into your account anytime, and
you can see the latest email update that we emailed to your
yahoo.com email address right on your Welcome Back page after you
log in. Some of our yahoo.com subscribers have complained to us
that for some unknown reason yahoo.com has started to block our
email broadcasts that we send to their yahoo.com email address
every week from a different Server than this one. So some of our
yahoo.com subscribers have switched their email address with us
to something other than yahoo.com

Gary just wanted to drop you a quick thanks. For the past several
years, I was away from my home base working in Boston. I travel
with work and for pleasure and often need a temporary Mom for my
Cocker Spaniel. Even with strong support from friends and family,
I still had gaps in house/dog-sitting coverage, so I ran my first
ad with you in 2007. The sitters that I found through the Gazette
were amazing. People came from all over the US and Canada for a
week at a time. They were a pleasure to meet and I was relieved
to know that they would be at home while I was away. My friends
and family thought I was nuts to let strangers come to visit, but
I could not have been happier with the experience. I still keep
in touch with some of the sitters. I have returned to my home
base and no longer need sitters, but I still keep my eye on the
Gazette and maybe one day I will be a sitter for someone. Thanks
for offering this unique opportunity! Kelly P., Cincinnati, OH

Thanks for your note, Kelly. Property owners have told us
they’ve found the most experienced and reliable housesitters,
pet-sitters, and caretakers via The Caretaker Gazette.

Earlier this year my husband and I responded to one of the
Gazette caretaking positions that you had sent out through one of
your email updates but we were not selected for the position.
After a few months, the landowners just contacted us again and
have now offered us the caretaker job! It turns out that the
couple who originally accepted the position had to leave for
personal reasons. We accepted the opportunity and are ready to
start our new adventure! Thanks for publishing these great
opportunities! Dan and Mary R., Sonoma, CA

Congratulations Dan and Mary. We have heard similar stories
from other subscribers who were contacted weeks after they
responded to a Help-Wanted ad. I’m glad you were able to use
one of our email updates and accepted their offer. Thanks for
contacting us and for sharing your good news!

WE WOULD APPRECIATE A LITTLE HELP around our 30-acre
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX located one hour north of Cairns (near
Mareeba) on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. Our property
borders the Barron River at the rear and has a focus on
sustainable agriculture. We have a big vision and are slowly
converting this traditional Barramundi Farm into the most
sustainable regenerative agriculture, permaculture and aquaponics
farm possible to make this farm very food productive. We have
already added 256 solar panels for energy efficiency and are now
focused on food security. I have been working in the
environmental management and community development field for 20+
years and now pouring my knowledge and experience into developing
our new farm. Experience is not essential; we prefer a desire and
willingness to learn. There is plenty of room for your
inspiration and creativity here too. We are family friendly
(three kids, two adults). In our spare time we like aquaculture,
aquaponics, permaculture, organic gardening, sustainability,
biodynamic, self-sufficiency, eco-tourism, community development,
hiking, nature, wildlife, tropical rainforest, energy efficiency,
cultural heritage and house renovations. We are an active family
that loves the bush and playing in nature. The family come and go
while I (Rod) manage the farm. We welcome short or longer stay
helpers. We provide a wonderful opportunity to learn about
aquaculture, aquaponics, wicking beds and organic gardening,
permaculture, a large variety of different food plants, as well
as local food networks, and what it takes to run a successful
small business. You will be learning and participating with
myself (Rod and/or Evelyn) and/or other volunteer helpers. We
have lots to do and are happy to meet and host people throughout
the year and offer community development and food production
skills. I plan to do all the following work this year: planting
fruit trees, build wicking bed gardens, build greenhouses and
Aquaponics gardens, composting and establish permaculture
gardens, make coconut oil, ginger beer, a black soldier fly
larvae box, weeding, pruning, painting, water tank installation,
make a moveable chicken tractor house, make a pizza oven, etc.
Aquaculture work includes fish harvest (every week), fixing a dam
jetty, cleaning paddle wheels, setting up a fish nursery, fish
tanks for breeding, general cleaning, building repairs,
concreting posts, fencing, feeding our 50,000 fish daily, mowing
lawns, tractor work, whipper snipping, etc. We usually work
7:30am – 12:30pm each day (so it’s not as hot),
Saturday/Sunday are days off (just 30 minutes feeding the fish in
morning and the days yours). We’re flexible and also happy for
you to work full days and have full days off if that works better
for you. All the rest of the time is yours to explore. If
you’re fun loving and appreciate a fair work exchange for
accommodation, knowledge sharing, meals, laundry, Wi-Fi, and
hanging out with an Aussie family at the fireplace or BBQ, please
consider us as your hosts. We can also show you around the
natural sights (spotlighting night animals, waterfalls,
aboriginal art, etc.) to celebrate getting jobs done. We love
exploring the natural rainforest surrounding Cairns, Daintree and
Tablelands. Also have a metal detector and love swinging that
around. Maybe we could find some treasure if keen? We'll provide
breakfast, lunch and dinner (when you’re home). If you would
like to cook, we’re always interested to taste someone else’s
cultural food creations. We would appreciate it if you do the
dishes as a “thank you for the cooking sometimes”. We’ll do
the dishes if you cook dinner. We eat home cooked meals every day
using our own organic vegetables and fish. Usually cook on the
fire or BBQ and have a great time-sharing story with our guests.
Hope you like fish! At the moment we are suited to the more
adventurous type of person. Let’s call the accommodation
rustic! It’s not 5 stars but we’re doing our best with what
we have. If you have your own van that’s really easy as we have
a separate outdoor toilet/shower block by the river and you could
park near it. If not, we have beds with mosquito nets over them
in a livable shed with an inside bathroom and kitchen. It’s not
flashy yet we provide a 5-star effort. If you prefer, we can set
you up outside in a tent also. You won’t be disappointed with
our willingness to help you. We also have Satellite internet. We
have mobile phone coverage around the farm from many spots.
Please email XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I can pick you up from the
Cairns airport if pre-arranged. Will always try and assist.

inspiration and creativity here. If you have an interest in
guiding and teaching others you can take on various challenges in
the leadership aspects of the garden operation. We are looking
for apprentices/helpers with a serious and genuine interest in
learning organic market gardening skills. You must be teachable,
able to follow directions, ask questions as needed, and to
participate cooperatively with others as well individually. If
you are reliable, honest, responsible, physically fit, enjoy
outdoor activities in most weather conditions then we would be
happy to host you. We are an easy 20 minute car ride from the
cafes, pubs and stores of Nelson and 10 minutes from Balfour.
There is a very dependable bus service available just minutes
from the garden to get you to Nelson and other destinations.
There is a forest to explore above the property with many hiking
and biking trails. Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park is a 10 minute
bicycle ride. A semi-private beach is just five minutes down the
road for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. We have bikes
for you to use, a badminton court and two hammocks under the
walnut tree as well as a fire pit to cozy up to and enjoy with
friends on those starry nights. We understand the need for
balance between work and recreation, so we offer a different
arrangement to traditional "helper/apprentices" situations. We
are asking for only two hours of participation a day in exchange
for accommodation and utilities. Sharing a fully furnished
kitchen and living area. Laundry and wireless Internet provided.
Sorry, we can’t provide meals. You will need to have enough
monetary funds to supply your own personal food and needs. Sorry

ALOHA FROM THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII. Escape to the tropics. Our
2.25-acre estate in Kona is in need of an individual who can care
for its landscape, gardens, and general maintenance. This
commitment is for a minimum of 90 days, but a longer-term

rare palms, Heliconia, and Gingers. We are in the process of

it is hard work, but well worth it. The property has a panoramic
view of the Pacific Ocean. It is a spectacular place. If you feel
this position might be your calling, please send me your resume
and a list of references. I will review them and give you a call
to set up an interview time. I can do FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp,

New Year from January 11 – January 20, 2023. During this camp,
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX participants can share their love for (and
learn more about) global and local environmental issues, as well
as photography. If you are interested in topics such as climate

developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be
focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through
non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions,
presentations and visits facilitated by XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. One
of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware
consumers and travelers! You will visit local projects on
environment and conservation. These may include hands-on
activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor

center, a geothermal power plant, a museum or exhibition. Some of
these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather,
pandemic-related restrictions, as well as availability of our
partner organizations. You will also have time to put the theory

Participants should prepare to share environmental issues from
their countries and should be ready to spend time outdoors
walking medium distances during activities and sightseeing. Note
this project is a learning/sharing camp and not a standard
workcamp. This project has a smaller work part and puts a bigger
emphasis on the personal learning process than on the community
impact. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX participants will stay in a house in
Reykjavík. For more info please visit XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Cheryl and Mike

Las Vegas is a pretty economical place to live…..if you
don’t gamble. Low property taxes, no state income tax, and two
for one buffet. But I didn’t want to stay in the desert when
it was time to retire from a career in law enforcement so my
husband Mike and I started researching places outside of the
United States where our retirement dollars would go far. We had
heard so many wonderful things about Costa Rica. No standing
army, great relations with the USA, 98% literacy rate and good
exchange rate, not to mention thriving rain forests and beautiful
beaches. We took an eight-day vacation there and did the basic
tourist things. Flew into San Jose, visited Manuel Antonio State
Park, the Arenal and Poas volcanoes, and even looked at a house
for sale in Escazu.
The country was nice enough that we answered an ad in The
Caretaker Gazette for a three-month house and pet sitting
assignment in rural northern Costa Rica. The property, owned by
an American couple, consisted of about six acres with several
ponds where the owner was raising Tilapia. There was also a great
Black Lab. Three months was a wonderful amount of time to meet
local expats who helped us find great hidden eateries, local
festivities, and gave us valuable information about where to shop
and find a dentist or chiropractor or an internet cafe where one
could make cheap international phone calls.
You can use Google Earth where you are hoping to stay. Had we
done that, we might have seen that the one-mile road to the main
road from our property was dirt and gravel and at a winding 12%
grade. I can do a mile on flat pavement in an easy fifteen
minutes. That mile took us an hour with usually three stops to
clutch our chests, gasp for air and consider calling a cab for
the last quarter mile. Are you in shape for the climate and
altitude in which you will be living? We had permission from the
owner to use the small pick-up truck to take the dog into town
for weekly veterinary checkups.
There are lots of bugs in the tropics. Know what you want to use
to repel them. I tried to make a healthy version of repellant
that included witch hazel and vinegar but couldn’t stand the
smell of myself and ended up using Off or something else with
Deet in it. We had also read that C.R. has a large number of
small poisonous snakes in the viper family. We encountered five
during our three months. One in town and another four on the
property we were watching. I would recommend a small snake bite
kit for areas like that and know where your nearest hospital is
located. Not all medical insurance plans will cover you out of
state but we found that temporary travel medical insurance is
very affordable and a peace-of-mind investment.
Another assignment we took through The Caretaker Gazette was in
Ireland, about 45 minutes west of Dublin. It was during the
winter. Our hosts wanted to spend a month in a warmer clime and
we watched their property and two small rescue dogs. When we
asked about local transportation, they requested we send a copy
of our drivers’ licenses and they had us temporarily added to
their auto insurance policy. Thus, we had unlimited use of one of
two vehicles at no cost other than fuel. If you are on a tight
budget be prepared for unexpected costs. The first time we pulled
into a gas station to fill a tank I was happily surprised to see
fuel at $1.25 a gallon. Upon closer inspection we realized that
the fuel listing was per liter… and in Euros. At the time we
were there it equaled about $6.50 a gallon in dollars. Don’t
take too many credit cards and let the bank of those cards know
where and when you will be travelling. I did not and my American
Express card was frozen at a gift shop in a tourist area of
Ireland. They let me use their phone to call AmEx customer
service to authorize the charge and convince them that my card
was not stolen and that I was indeed in Ireland. Know the answers
to your security questions for each card. And many foreign banks
partner with U.S. banks so that you can use your ATM debit card
to withdraw local currency with no transaction fees. Your
bank’s website can identify those cooperating institutions and
save you some cash. Either way, we found using ATM machines was a
cheaper way to get local cash than going to a currency exchange
office. And by the way, Ireland is extremely cold in the winter.
If your country uses Celsius instead of Fahrenheit you might want
to familiarize yourself with the conversion or keep a cheat sheet
so as to dress comfortably for your day. We took adequate winter
weather clothing but were surprised at the cost of heating our
hosts’ house. We used wood, coal and peat for the fireplace in
the main living area as it was cheaper than heating the entire
house with the radiator system which heated with fuel oil.
Heating oil was very expensive during the time we were there and
was an unexpected expense.

View of Costa Rica property with the Black Lab

A rainy day on the Costa Rica property

We had agreed to cover the heating oil cost with our hosts
before taking the assignment again the following year. Yes, we
did two Irish winters in a row because the whole experience was
so nice for both us and our hosts that we were invited back.
Northern Patagonia in Southern Chile was our best house and pet
sitting assignment.
	The Gazette ad read:

CHILE

HOUSESITTERS NEEDED from May to August, for a farm in southern
Chile, near the village of Villarrica. It is a very nice property
with 150 acres and views of the volcano Villarrica. The farmhouse
is located in the middle of a very beautiful farm landscape with
old trees and a small river. A very friendly dog is watching the
farm. There are no more animals. Two employees are working daily
on the farm and my brother-in-law lives only 12 miles away to
help if there would be any problems. We are looking for a nice
and reliable housesitting couple who would love to stay the
wintertime in Chile. The nature is beautiful, the volcano is a
very famous skiing region and there are nice hot springs around
Lake Villarrica and the region is really attractive for tourists.
We are looking for non-smokers, retirees, older than 50 years
with a driver’s license.

We were about 20 minutes outside of Villarrica, Chile. After we
landed in Santiago, we had the option of flying into the
neighboring city of Valdivia ($150.00) and taking a local
30-minute bus ride to Villarrica or taking a 10-hour sleeper bus
from Santiago ($11.00) and a chance to see the country. The
sleeper bus was clean, comfortable and included a continental
breakfast! Our host spoke German and some Spanish. We spoke
English and some Spanish. We got by. We stayed in a German built
home, with the use of a nice SUV, and surrounded by 150 acres of
hazelnut trees that were maintained by a staff who also cut
firewood for us for use in the house. We had only to care for two
cats and a wonderful Great Dane and enjoy the beauty and
civilization of Chile. Food was plentiful, inexpensive, and of
great quality in both grocery stores and in restaurants. The
infrastructure is top notch. Very little English was spoken by
the locals but we encountered a large northern European expat
community that all spoke better English than most of my friends.
The entire country is prone to earthquakes but the government
knows it and has an emergency response program that works. Daily
tremors became unnoticeable. If you have a phobia, research your
destination so it doesn’t ruin your experience.
Chile-seismophobia (earthquakes); Costa Rica-Ophidiophobia
(snakes); Ireland-I can’t find a word for fear of sheep, beer,
or River Dancing 😉
We found that most people are looking for a property/pet sitter
at times that they don’t want to be on their property. In the
case of Ireland, it was very cold. In Costa Rica it was very hot
and humid and rainy. Southern Chile was also very cold because
remember, the seasons are reversed when you venture south of the
equator. But for us, it was the best time to experience these
countries. Because if you enjoy the country even during their
“worst” time of year, think of how much more amazing it will
be during peak season.
While looking for international destinations, we always kept an
eye out for options within the United States. We found some
states that are very attractive for retirees. More than ten
states have no state income tax, like Washington, saving anywhere
from 6% to 9% of your retirement income depending on the
state’s tax structure. Other states, like Oregon, have no state
sales tax. Property taxes vary greatly from state to state and
from county to county within those states. Oregon property taxes
are very high, probably to offset the lack of sales tax.
Definitely do your research and rent before buying. The rule of
thumb in Vegas was, if you can handle three summers, you will be
alright with the incredible heat. The famous tag line is “but
it’s a dry heat”. Still, 118 degrees in the shade is
dangerously hot if you’re outside for any length of time. The
state of Washington piqued our interest with several
characteristics. Fairly moderate climate, no state income tax,
easy traveling distance to rivers, ocean and mountains and an
abundance of natural beauty.
When an ad appeared in The Caretaker Gazette for a property
caretaker position on the Olympic Peninsula, we answered it. The
property hosts vetted us thoroughly and we even flew up at our
own expense to be interviewed and meet them and see the property.
We had a list of easy chores, some on a schedule and others at
our leisure. We also had time to explore the area often. We still
think about Chile a lot. If for any reason we were to leave the
Pacific Northwest that’s where we would head. Perhaps by
answering another ad in The Caretaker Gazette.
Experiencing a possible retirement destination through house and
pet sitting has been indescribably rewarding. It has made travel
that would have been otherwise, unaffordable, possible and
enriched our lives with new friends and experiences. Remember,
life is a journey, not a destination. Warm regards and safe
travels.

IRELAND

HELP NEEDED in Dunmanus Bay, Goleen, Ireland. We are a
single-parent, single-child family. This work exchange is
offering you the opportunity to spend time to visit this area.
Hiking and biking are very good here. It is a very nice location
and you will have a bicycle to use. Meanwhile your volunteer job
is to be involved in our family situation. You would be spending
time and giving care and attention to my daughter, Erin, going
hiking, playing with her toys and games, having fun, taking the
time and focus to interact and provide happy times for her.
Additionally, we prepare food for ourselves and we have housework
too; tidying up after ourselves, washing the dishes and sweeping
the floors. It's a typical household environment and therefore
it's about sharing the space and some time and interactions
together. Our house is not far from small beaches, coves and
hills for walking with clean and fresh Atlantic air. The
peninsula is the most southwesterly tip of Ireland, it is called
the Mizen Peninsula. We are on a road we call the Coast Road, it
is the scenic route on this peninsula. The public transport
system, will take you to the village of Goleen on the other side
of the peninsula. Our house is about seven kilometers away from
the village and it's advisable to be travelling with bags which
can be easily taken on that walk if necessary, as we don't have
our own car. Mostly, we walk or use a bicycle to get around the
area which is good for keeping fit. It's also very easy to
hitchhike right now as in the summertime it is good for that.
Years ago I was a Yoga and Qigong teacher, but right now I am
recovering within a period of long illness and starting to
rebuild my health. We eat clean, healthy, organic, vegetarian
food. For more information, please call XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
Many thanks.

WANT TO HELP BUILD A COMMUNITY? Love the sea? After finishing the
building of our boat and our first sea-trial trip, we are
presently based on an organic apple farm 40 minutes south of
Oslo, where we are focusing on beekeeping as we intend to build
up on honey production and queen-breeding this summer. We are a
community-based project born over 10 years ago. Involving people
from all over the globe, we hope to eventually form a community
present both on land and at sea, that will cooperate with
eco-villages, sharing the bliss of sustainable living and
traveling through organic farming and sailing - connecting places
and people across the oceans. If you have any knowledge or
interest in permaculture, self-sufficiency, alternative living,
etc., don't hesitate to contact us and share your ideas. Our
hopes are for the farm to flourish into a place where food,
thoughts, plans, adventures, and - of course - boats, can grow!

OREGON

HELLO! I am semi-retired and living in one of the most beautiful
places in the Northwest. The Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon
on three acres, and on the Applegate River, in Jacksonville. I
have an RV site on the river which has power (30 amp.), great
Wi-Fi, and freshwater. I will have the holding tanks pumped as
needed and will provide a 100g. propane tank with fuel at your
pad. If you do not have an RV I would be open to buying one! This
is being offered as a long-term/full-time stay. The ideal
candidate would be a single person with an RV in good condition,
who would like to live rent free with all utilities paid, in
trade for animal feeding and grounds supervision.
Responsibilities would be caring for three sheep and two
sheepdogs, feeding once a day and keeping water feeders and bowls
clean in the mornings. Walking the fence-line for holes and
keeping an eye on the irrigation system during Spring and Summer,
and notify the owner if repairs are needed. If you enjoy
gardening, there is space here to create raised boxes, or an
in-ground garden, and there is endless water here from the river
during the hotter months. Several fruit trees are on the property
and wild blackberries in late summer. Fishing for Steelhead,
Salmon and Trout is seasonal and requires a permit. While I am
away, you would have access to the heated saltwater pool and the
rest of the grounds. I'd also ask you to mow the two acres of
grass using my Kubota ride-on tractor, once a week or less, and
some lite weed eating. While I am on the property, just animal
feeding/watering in the mornings and evenings would be needed.
Big Plus if you enjoy yard work and can perform simple repairs on
the property, and I would pay for harder extra work, but this
would be on rare occasions, unless you would like to work, in
which case it could be more often. All other free time is yours,
so if you have other work or activities in the area, you will
only need to check waters in the morning and be back in the
evenings to feed and water animals. I prefer no other guests on
the property, and the caretaker should be drug free and pretty
much keep to themselves. Enjoy river kayaking at your doorstep,
endless hiking and biking in the area, also great wineries, and
mountain lakes are in the area. Medford is just 30 minutes away
and the beautiful town of Jacksonville is 15 minutes away. If you
need transportation, I have a clean little Tacoma you can use
periodically for market runs and necessary local travel. Please

I am a guy who is new to Caretaking. I am finishing a 40 year
career as a Production Manager in large scale special events, and
am searching for a way to ease into a great retirement. During my
career I met and worked with several Property Managers, many for
some of the planet’s wealthiest people. I grew an interest in
what they were doing, and always set caretaking on the back
burner until I knew it was what I wanted to do. Now, at the age
of 62, I am deeply interested in this, but cannot seem to catch
anyone’s attention. I had a career which taught me a great
deal, and I learned how to care for peoples particular interests.
I think I have the skills many of you are seeking, but I cannot
seem to spark anyone’s interest. I want to figure out how to
make this my next career. This is very much something I want to
do. I seek a position nearer me in Seattle, Washington if I can
find it, and to keep the property I own and care for, but I am
open to other places certainly. Please contact

AN ALTERNATIVE TO COSTLY MEDICAL INSURANCE
Over the decades many of our advertisers and subscribers, both
property owners and caretakers/housesitters, have discussed their
healthcare situation and possible insurance options/alternatives
with us. My wife and I dropped our current medical insurance when
the premiums jumped to $2,000 per month with a $12,000 annual
deductible. We switched to a $354 per month healthcare program
for called Medi-Share.
I wanted to send you some information about Medi-Share as I
thought you might be interested in their affordable healthcare.
Like us, you and your family could join their community of
400,000+ who share in each other's medical burdens. Since 1993
more than $4 Billion in medical expenses have been shared and
discounted by Medi-Share members.

Arizona Cowboy has written true stories in four exciting and
interesting books all about half a century on horseback. 2005,
was the year the books closed on the Arizona, cattle and horse
ranch named the DK Ranch. After nearly fifty years there as a
cowhand, I had advanced as their chief honcho. In 2005, the
handwriting on the wall began and the books closed on this
historic steer and horse ranch. I sadly, then, became my
pen-name, The Last DK Cowboy. Read stories of true happenings
during our daily work. Happily chasing steers over the open range
while aboard bronco horses we were trying to make into usable
cowponies. Join me by enjoying these true tales and later in the
other books describing a rewarding, exciting life among wild
cattle and wilder cowhands. Ridin’ out in Arizona’s
beautiful, natural scenic wonders. These true tales, although
unusual, are just as I recollect them. To all those who have ever
dreamed of being a cowboy, here’s your chance to ride along
with me as your side-kick and saddle pard. You can view an
entertaining intro with many colored pictures at lastdkcowboy.com
or write lastdkslashcowboy@gmail.com

HOUSESITTER NEEDED for the month of December to look after four dogs, four cats, three goldfish, and our garden. My home is in the Basking Ridge area. You will be responsible for feeding our animals, and watering the indoor plants, no exercise required for the pets. Our pets are very well-behaved, so you should have no problems with them. We would prefer a live-in housesitter but will also consider twice daily visits to our home for feeding/watering duties from any local applicants. Might need to shovel the front walk if it gets icy or snows. Please email why you would be interested in housesitting and taking care of our pets and provide at least three checkable references. Please email xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
