The caretaker will work to make sure Pilgrim is kept safe and clean, greet guests visiting the site, and help out with other onsite projects, all while enjoying the beautiful scenery here. You will be provided with housing – a small cabin with a wood stove, appliances, and power on demand. Your main task will be to provide safety and security to the property. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and overall site maintenance. Must be comfortable in a remote setting, be able to respond to basic wildlife or first aid scenarios and be comfortable with adverse weather conditions and summertime bugs (mainly, mosquitoes!). LOOKING FOR PREFERABLE A COUPLE wanting to experience living in a remote wilderness area of Alaska along the Yukon River for the summer, maybe longer. You would live in a log cabin removed from our homestead. You would be here to fill in for us on periods when we have to leave to get supplies or for appointments and someone needs to be here to care for the dogs at our cabin site. We have 30some friendly Alaskan Huskies. Also to help infrequently with extra manpower if we need help. We live mostly off the land with a garden, fishing, moose, and caribou. No roads. NOW INTERVIEWING FOR A PERSON who would be able to spend the summer here (now through September 15) to manage a small 50 tree orchard on a large, very beautiful property near Homer. Lodging consists of an off-grid tiny house located at the orchard with fresh spring water nearby. We provide basic food staples, an ATV and/or a farm truck as needed. This is a physically demanding job of about 20 hours per week which includes mowing, weeding, trimming, moving trees, setting up a waterline, and fence repairs. Extra jobs are also available for an hourly wage for over 20 hours. We are looking for someone who loves nature, loves trees, and has an eye for beauty and neatness in the cabin and surrounding area. PROPERTY AND ANIMAL CARETAKER needed for a southeastern Arizona property. Live rent and utility free in a 350 sq. ft. casita, at a 4,780 ft. elevation, in exchange for property and critter care. Additional limited storage is available on the property. Looking for someone reasonably healthy who will complete minor maintenance duties and critter care and feeding in my absence. FULL-TIME, YEAR ROUND COUPLE wanted for off-grid private property management. This is an amazing opportunity for a couple to share the experience of being off-grid in the mountains of Arizona, located 90 minutes outside of Phoenix. Combine your skill sets to work and develop this property which includes geodesic domes for growing, a large diverse orchard, and small animals (currently chickens, turkeys, and dogs) with the hope to branch out to bigger animals in the future. Your skills should include: being able to understand solar equipment to ensure it is working properly, experience growing food successfully, handling of large equipment to clear roads of snow, house management, including the cleaning of the primary’s house on the property, care of animals (specifically poultry and canines), working with a team of individuals to record videos that are educational for those interested in off-grid living, physical activity including lifting and carrying, and managing and organizing inventory lists.
