Publication of its kind, we are a bricks and mortar company - not just a

We have had a rise in the number of complaints about websites
that are set up to promote themselves by offering housesitting and property
caretaking assignments. Some of these websites have allowed people to place
fraudulent ads for housesitting and property caretaking jobs that do not exist.
THE CARETAKER GAZETTE is not affiliated with and has no connection to any of
these websites. All of the ads that you see in the printed issues and online
editions of the GAZETTE are legitimate and paid for by the

The pay rate is $1,700/month as the starting salary; one weeks’ paid vacation (seven days), and six days off per month. The benefit package also includes free rent, utilities, cable, and internet. Our resort is located in the quaint coastal village of Neskowin, just 10 miles north of Lincoln City, and 30 miles south of Tillamook. Work with a dynamic Homeowners Association Board of Directors to keep our facility running smoothly and comfortably. The minimum job qualifications and requirements are as follows: • responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of common areas, including, but not limited to landscape maintenance such as lawn mowing, raking, weeding, trimming, blowing; flower beds, pesticide application, routine maintenance on the sprinkler system, watering and moving garden hoses; having experience with basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical; wiping down surfaces and cleaning as needed, and pressure washing • perform security checks twice daily and be versed in emergency procedures • liaison to contractors, suppliers, and homeowners; assist in bid procurement • regularly report to the Board by email and telephone • have excellent organizational and people skills • be self-motivated and skilled in time management Successful applicants will be able to work independently, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and utilize collaborative problem-solving skills and communication when interacting with homeowners and guests.
